SUCCESS HAS BROUGHT COMFORT, BUT I AM STILL RESTLESS
My name is Caleb. I am the main character in the book Harland is writing. He is calling this business fable, Profit Seeks Purpose.
It is my story.
Fifteen years ago, I set out to build wealth. I poured everything into this business—late nights, high risk, hard choices. And it worked. My company is thriving. My team respects me. My income exceeds what he once thought was possible.
A while ago, as I achieved success beyond my imagination, this restless feeling started waking me up at night.
I’m not complaining. Just being honest.
Milestones that once felt thrilling now feel… emptier.
I have a great family, a wife and children who love me, a house on the beach. The team runs without me most days. There’s margin. But the question that won’t go away is: “What now?”
I don’t think I am burnt out. Everyone thinks I am doing great. But I am also beginning to be aware that there’s more to life than scaling and making money. I want more.
There are more and more entrepreneurs asking the same thing. Maybe you’ve asked it, too.
What if your restlessness isn’t a problem—but a prompting? Not to quit, but to realign.
Have you ever felt that subtle ache—even when things are going well?
